This is an editorial image I entered into a design challenge Eat The Rainbow by They Draw & Cook and I am excited to say that it will be featured in Spirituality & Health magazine, the May/June issue 2019. I created this image to capture the importance of eating colourfully and to raise awareness of the fermenting process. Since refrigeration came about there has not been as much need for this technique. Additionally, it is not looked upon as a particularly exciting way of consuming food. However, is it important to know that this process has numerous health benefits. Fermented food is rich in probiotic bacteria and eating this good bacterium is an easy and colourful way to boost your gut health! Through my paper-cut process, vibrant colour palette and textures, I produced some delicious combinations and to encourage people to start fermenting their own produce!
